Roots, rock, Reggae sums up the concept for Culture Fest, scheduled for Lallo’s in Lauderhill on August 12. The show features Etana, Bugle, Fantan Mojah, and Lutan Fyah as headliners.

”I Noah” and other acts are also on the bill with the Evolution Sound and CD Master sound systems to ensure a non-stop dancehall & roots reggae vibe.

With the North American scene saturated by dancehall shows, Etana, who is also part of the Reggae Date Night promotion team, believes a healthy serving of roots reggae is ideal.

“This lineup is strong on roots reggae with a hint of dancehall. It is deliberate because the artists appeal to all age groups and are loaded with a positive message and much energy,” she said.

Culture Fest will be held in Lauderhill, a city with a vibrant Jamaican and West Indian population. It has been a bedrock of South Florida’s Caribbean community for decades.

Of note are the appearances of Bugle and Fantan Mojah who have not performed in South Florida for some time. Bugle has a long list of hit songs that include Nuh Compatible and Anointed while Hail The King and Rasta Got Soul are only two of the songs that have endeared Fantan Mojah to hardcore dancehall and roots fans alike.

“Bugle has steadily been releasing some of the hottest reggae tracks over the years and has not performed in Fort Lauderdale for some time now. Fantan Monjah is also another artist that has not been in the United States for years. He is about to light the stage up in straight fire mode at Lallo’s and break that 10-year hiatus,” said Etana.

Etana, a two-time Grammy-nominated artist, with a plethora of hits including; I Am Not Afraid, I Rise, Wrong Address, and People Talk, is known to be a great performer, who is sure to please the audience. Luthan Fyah adds more fire with a strong performance and a roots/reggae/dancehall flair. This lineup is one not to miss and will be remembered for some time to come.
